Bottlenose dolphins near Channel Islands National Park

Last week I visited Santa Cruz Island at Channel Islands National Park near Ventura, California. On the way back these bottlenose dolphins (Cetacea: Delphinidae: Tursiops truncatus) were racing in the wake of the Island Packers ferry. These individuals were among a pod of over 100 animals. It was really amazing to see so many of them in such a small area. Recorded 10/26/2013.
