White-tailed deer (Odocoileus virginianus, Cervidae) photographed 06/15/2010 at Hidden Lake Gardens, Tipton Michigan.

This is the feces of a white-tailed deer (Odocoileus virginianus, Cervidae).  It’s hard to believe such a large animal can make such tiny little turds.  They’re pretty similar to the droppings of lagomorphs (rabbits, hares, and pikas) except lagomorph droppings are neat spheres while deer droppings are more tapered.  Deer poop is also slightly larger than rabbit poop.
